Man residing near Kildare-Dublin border accused of throwing petrol bomb through relative's window

CONTESTED ALLEGATION

A 22-year-old man was accused of throwing a petrol bomb through the window of a female relative’s house.

The allegation was detailed at Naas District Court on Thursday, May 25, and relates to Myles Connors, with an address given as Room 308, Finnstown Castle Hotel, Newcastle Road, Lucan, County Dublin.

Gardaí claimed that at approximately 11pm on June 28 last, Mr Connors allegedly threw the petrol bomb through the female relative’s home window at a property in Blessington.

It was alleged that five other female relatives were present in the house at the time of the alleged offence.

Defending barrister Aisling Murphy said that Mr Connors 'fully denies' the allegations made against him.

When Judge Desmond Zaidan asked what the motive behind the alleged attack was, the gardaí responded that the suspected motive was 'not clear at this point.'

The judge adjourned the case to September 7, which is when a book of evidence is due to be presented.
