Play was staged in Kildare theatre to raise funds for charity

The cast and crew

Mary Power Cooney, founder and artistic director of Theatrics, presents Alex Newcomb of Tiglin with a cheque for €1,800, the proceeds of Theatrics Teen Ensemble's production of 'Dubs' which ran for two nights last week in the Moat Theatre, Naas

Tiglin is a charity that supports young people at risk of homelessness. 

Jigginstown Manor in Naas is one of its facilities.

Dubs is a contemporary Irish play by Anthony Goulding and Killian Kirwan devised with Complex Youth Theatre, Dublin.  

Inspired by James Joyce’s short story The Dead, the play takes a deep dive into the contemporary political landscape of Ireland.  It addresses such critical issues as the housing crisis and our cultural heritage.
