Man said 'I'm going to have the house' and walked up and down outside it, Kildare court ktold

A man told his partner “I’m going to have the house" and walked up and down outside it, it was claimed at Naas District Court.

The court was told during an in camera (private) hearing that he was arrested on May 5 in a Kildare town and he made the comment after encountering his partner.

He was conveyed to a garda station.

The court was also told by Garda Dave Marshall that the pair had been partners for a number of years. The incident occurred after he met encountered his partner on the street,

The man was prosecuted for breaching a protection order and the court was told he had a single historic previous conviction for possession of a knife.

Judge Desmond Zaidan applied the Probation Act.

He told the man that the issues associated with the splitting up of a relationship can be dealt with at regular family law courts.
