Ex was 'going around the town with blade looking for me' Kildare court told

A woman told Naas District Court that her ex was “going around the town with a blade” looking for her.

She made the allegation during a family law hearing at Naas District Court.

She said she is in “fear of my life” and said the relationship lasted a number of months.

The applicant said that on the day he was arrested he had attacked her and two friends.

She claimed he forced his way into where she lives and he has a violent tendency.

The man did not appear for the hearing and was not represented.

The woman also claimed he had mental health issues which shed did not know about.

“I’m concerned for my welfare,” she said.

Judge Michael Ramsey granted a protection order and adjourned the matter.
