Castledermot trail by a point at half-time in Leinster IFC

Leinster Intermediate Club Football Championship round two

It's half-time here in St Conleth's Park and Castledermot trail by the minimum as their Offaly opponents have given them a stern test so far.

The south Kildare side have been much more wasteful on front of goal than the efficient Offaly champions, and have hit seven wides in the opening 30 minutes.

David Keating has struck two points for Castledermot, while Gary Hendy is dictating things in midfield quite superbly.

Ballycumber forward Joe Lowry was proving a thorn in the side of the Castledermot defence in the early stages, kicking two points, but Ben Kelly has marshalled him well since.

They'll need to improve their accuracy in the second half, but a win is well within reach for the Kildare champions.
