The 2026 National Electrical Wholesalers Intermediate Football Championship gets under way next Friday, August 8

Milltown and Ballyteague will raise the curtain on this year’s National Electrical Wholesalers Kildare IFC when they meet on Friday, August 8 at Cedral St. Conleths Park for a Group C clash with a 7:45pm throw-in. See the full fixture list for next weekend below.

Milltown arrive to the 2026 competition as one of the favourites with a young team that has continued to build following their Leinster Junior Championship success in 2023.

Kilcullen and Monasterevan face off in a crucial opener for both sides before Straffan welcome Confey to Intermediate football.

Other key games from the opening round include Round Towers facing last year’s beaten finalists St Laurence’s as both look to pass an early litmus test of their championship credentials. A full preview of the Kildare Intermediate Championship will be in next week’s Leinster Leader newspaper.
