This St. Patrick’s Day, Kildare is set to come alive with a series of parades, community celebrations, and family-friendly events that promise to make March 17, 2025, a day to remember. Kildare will showcase the very best of Irish culture, hospitality, and community spirit.

Newbridge

The Newbridge St Patrick's Day Parade will start at 11:45 AM, and it’s set to be their biggest one yet! With over 70 different elements and floats taking part, the parade will be a vibrant, multicultural celebration, showcasing the diverse cultures that make up the Newbridge community. This year’s event promises to be a true reflection of the town’s rich diversity and inclusivity.

Celbridge

Celbridge, the birthplace of the legendary Arthur Guinness, will host a spectacular St. Patrick’s Day Parade at 2:30 PM. This year’s event will feature a unique blend of local and international talent, including three American Marching Bands from the main Dublin parade, a local Irish Marching Band, and a Dublin-based Brazilian Samba Band. Attendees can also enjoy a free pre-parade concert on the main street from 2:30 PM, featuring children’s entertainment and photo opportunities with beloved characters like SpongeBob and Peppa Pig.

Athy

Athy's St Patrick's Day Parade will take place at 3:00 PM, with the theme “Pulling Together,” celebrating unity and community spirit. The parade is a highlight of the local calendar, attracting thousands of visitors each year.

“Like many others, I always look forward to the St. Patrick's Day celebrations in Athy – the atmosphere is fantastic with thousands of people of all ages coming out to line the streets and celebrate as a community,” said Aoife Breslin, Cathaoirleach of Athy Municipal District and Chair of Athy Town Promoters.

“A lot of hard work goes into planning and running the festivities and we would like to thank everyone who has, is and will be giving of their time to ensure another memorable March 17.”

Local businesses are also encouraged to participate, making this year’s parade bigger and brighter than ever.

Monasterevin

Monasterevin will kick off the celebrations at 10:00 AM, marking the 10th anniversary of its St. Patrick’s Day Parade. This milestone event promises to be a memorable occasion for the entire community.

Clane

Clane’s parade will begin at 3:00 PM, celebrating its 20th anniversary with a special presentation of medals to the 1975 Football Team at 2:00 PM. Entertainment will fill the streets from 2:00 PM, making it a perfect day out for families.

Kilcock

Kilcock’s parade will take place at 1:30 PM, with a fun and adventurous theme: “Raiders, Pirates, Traders, and Explorers.” This imaginative theme is sure to captivate both children and adults alike.

Castledermot

For those who love a touch of nostalgia, Castledermot Vintage Club will host a St. Patrick’s Day Parade & Road Run. Follow their updates on Facebook and Instagram.
