Stolen car driven on wrong side of the motorway in Kildare
Three juveniles were arrested following a high-speed chase through Counties Kildare and Laois, a Garda spokesperson has confirmed.
On the Bank Holiday Monday evening, a stolen vehicle fled from Dublin through to Junction 15 on the M7, between Portlaoise and Monasterevin.
The chase went on for a considerable amount of time, with a portion of the chase taking place between Kildare Village and Ballybrittas.
The offending vehicle fled down the wrong side of the motorway, and collided with a third party vehicle on the road.
The driver of the other vehicle was taken to hospital for assessment.
The vehicle came to a stop on the M7 in the Kildare area.
Three males, aged in their teens, were arrested and taken to a Garda Station in South Dublin.
One of these males was charged and appeared before the Children’s Court in Dublin.
