Over 280 homes and creche planned for Newbridge

Details have emerged of a major residential development planned for Newbridge which is being considered by An Bord Pleanala as a Strategic Housing Development.

Some 281 properties in 1, 2 and 3 bedroom units comprising 167 apartments is proposed for The Paddocks area off Station Road in Newbridge.

There will be five 3/4 storey blocks and 114 houses comprising 16 detached, 76 semi-detached and 22 terraced units.

A crèche, bike store and bin store are also in the designs.

A total of 460 car parking spaces and 406 bicycle parking spaces are planned.

Also proposed are public open spaces and completion of streets and link roads.

The developer is Stennock Ltd which was set up three years ago and is based in Lucan.

The directors are: Brid Donohue, John Donohue, John Duggan and Deirdre Donoghue.
