Kildare County Council has said that homes and businesses in Naas will today be affected by a planned water outage which is to facilitate necessary repair works to a water main in the area.
Kildare County Council has announced that St. Conleth's in Naas will experience a scheduled water outage starting from 10am to 5pm and it is hoped that water supply will be restored to the affected area later this evening.
Residents are being advised to use bottled water where possible today.
Meanwhile, Irish Water is due to carry out planned works on ageing pipes in the north of the county this week to ensure they are no longer prone to bursts, and they are expected to replace around 240 metres of old pipes that are prone to bursts on Station Road in Leixlip. It is hoped that the project will improve the quality of the water for local Co Kildare customers.
