A two day blood donation drive begins in Newbridge this evening, with Kildare people being encouraged to help out with many hospitals across the country in urgent need of more blood.
The blood donation drive is being hosted by the Irish Blood Transfusion Service in St. Conleth's Community College, Station Road, Newbridge, with donations being accepted today between 4.30pm and 8pm.
The clinic will also take place tomorrow at the same time.
Kildare donors are being reminded that they must be over 18 years if age and to also bring appropriate ID with them to the clinic.
